An important Byzantine port in Thrace, part of the fortification of which, around 170m long, is preserved.
History
The settlement was founded in the 9th or 10th century and survived until the 13th or 14 th century.

| The site is on the old NR from Xanthi to Komotini, right after the village of Porto Lagos and before the estate with the big square silo. |

| The site is fenced and, usually, locked. However the ruins inside can be observed from the outer perimeter. |
