A Turkish koule (small fort) at high altitude, east of the village Agios Ioannis of Southwestern Crete. One of the many forts that the Ottomans built in the 19th century in an attempt to control the rebels of Crete and especially of the difficult region of Sfakia.

The little fort is ruined and in worse condition than other koules around. The location has unique and wide view-range of the Libyan sea and the south coast of Crete from Messara to Paleochora .
