Α Byzantine castle north of Xanthi, close to the village of Glafki.

The chronology of the construction is not known exactly. Some ceramic findings date back to the late-Byzantine period. Probably it was built in the late 12th or 13th century.

The layout of the castle is a rectangular with a perimeter of 225 m.

Two towers remain at the two opposite corners: one cylindrical and one rectangular which is 8.5 m high.
